After graduating from Fenelon Falls Secondary School, he attended York University to study Political Science and Economics. He attained his Bachelor of Arts degree and attended Osgood Hall Law School.
After graduating with a LLB in 1983, he performed his articles in Orillia prior to his call to the bar in 1985. Stephen practiced in Peterborough from 1985 through 1986 and in St. Catharines from 1986 through 1988.
Stephen has been practicing in Lindsay, Kawartha Lakes, and the North Durham region from 1988 to the present. He’s gained a wide breadth of experience from practicing municipal planning, civil litigation, family, real estate, estate and corporate law. From 1988 to 1998, Stephen's base was in Lindsay. In 1998, he branched out to assume a long-established practice, operated by retiring Solicitor Ivan Tomlinson, in Beaverton.
A Lindsay branch office has been maintained in order to continue services to Stephen's Lindsay clientele. Although Stephen's office time is divided between Lindsay and Beaverton, he remains accessible to clients in both locations.
Since 1998, Stephen's practice has focused upon will and estate administration, residential and commercial real estate, and corporate work for family-held non-public corporations. Stephen also practices other related areas of law. He provides affordable, efficient legal services and resolves his clients’ legal issues. He maintains a technologically up-to-date office, an expert staff and continued professional development.
Stephen has been involved in the Lindsay Boys Club, the Lindsay Girls Club, Community Living Kawartha Lakes, Ducks Unlimited and the Lindsay Optimist Club. He looks forward to continuing the practice of law.
